In the next of our series of polls we have been asking Chelsea fans this week, is the turn of the central defensive midfielders and potential Chelsea targets.

With defensive midfielder coming high in the list of positions that fans think we need to improve in this summer, the next question was who?
I decided to put out four names who have been linked the most in that position, out and out defensive midfielders who’s main position is the CDM.
The winner will probably not surprise you, a player linked heavily with a return to the club he played for as a kid, Declan Rice from West Ham.
Rice won with a whopping 83.8% of the votes, which is a unanimous decision to say the least.
We had just under 5,000 voters for this poll, and next in line was Marseille midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who picked up 9.1% of the votes.
Then miles behind the leader was Boubakary Soumare, and Boubacar Kamara, both quality young French midfielders.
But you guys are only interested in Rice, and it seems like it is Rice or nothing!
Let’s see what the summer brings, it’s bound to get hairy out there in the transfer market once again.

I think Gravenbach @ Ajax Amsterdam is younger, cheaper and more realistic. He has a vast skill set compared to all mentioned above. The only downside is that he currently plays in the Dutch league, no disrespect to Ajax and the Dutch league.
