Chelsea had a very good summer transfer window last year, with the board backing Frank Lampard with a number of his own signings as well as some board driven ones.
The club signed Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, and Timo Werner as they added reinforcements across the entire pitch and got some of these players on very good deals.

After a stuttering and inconsistent first half of the season, many of the new signings struggled to really settle in and make a positive impact bar maybe Chilwell, Mendy, and Silva.
However, if you look at things on the whole now, all of our new signings have been successful and are making an impact on the pitch now, including Werner and Havertz up top.
So in their own ways, they have all had a good impact on Chelsea’s season this year, but there have been one or two standouts, and I asked you guys to chose the main standout.

Out of over 7,000 votes, Chelsea fans have selected goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as the signing of the summer this season with 71% of the votes, and who can really disagree with that?
He has been absolutely colossal at the heart of our team between the sticks, and he has kept us in many games and got us many good results that another keeper might not have got us.
Thiago Silva was second with 22% of the votes, and deservedly so. He also had a shout to get the main award having had such a positive affect on our backline since he arrived.
