Chelsea are watching on as Brighton start the transfer bidding for talented Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic.

A rather interesting transfer story has popped up this morning, and while it doesn’t yet involved Chelsea, it probably should.
Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic played on loan with Hamburg last season and looked like one of the best young defenders in Europe. The 19 year old was outstanding, and already looks ready for the Premier Leauge.
Brighton step up to bid for brilliant Spurs youngster
According to David Ornstein’s report today, Brighton are the first team to step up to try to persuade Tottenham to sell. They’ve made an offer of £30m for Vuskovic.
If there’s any chance that this guy goes for less than £50m, Chelsea should be all over it. That’s really not that crazy a fee given how much the likes of Jeremy Jacquet went for back in January. The only hesitation is whether Spurs would sell to Chelsea – but if the Blues aren’t testing that resolve with bids, they’re doing something wrong, by all accounts.
If we let him go to Brighton, we’re the only who will end up paying £100m for him a few years down the line…
