It’s the time of year where we’re all glued to Fabrizio Romano’s Twitter feed for updates, and it feels like this summer we’re going to be reading more about Enzo Fernandez than anyone else.
The midfielder is being heavily linked with Real Madrid, as he has been for months. Romano’s latest update made it clear that things aren’t as advanced as some sources would imply.
Fabrizio Romano on Enzo’s club to club talks

In a Tweet today, Romano confirms that Enzo is on a “four man shortlist” as a midfield option for Los Blancos, but also makes it clear that there are “no club to club talks with Chelsea at this stage.”
Dani Ceballos has been allowed to leave on a free transfer today, opening up more space in the squad. But given the size of the fees likely to be involved here, it seems like everything is on pause until after the World Cup.
Having done a deal for Marc Cucurella last week with no warning, it’s clear that things could come together pretty quickly if needed.
In other news…
Cucurella has been sold by Chelsea, and one person who’s not so sure about that idea is John Terry, who had his say on the decision as a pundit at the World Cup.
Geovany Quenda has been bulking up while preparing to make his move to Chelsea this summer.
