France rolled to a superb 3-0 win over Sweden last night, putting every other team at the World Cup on notice. Amongst the quite incredible talent on that team, it was slightly jarring for Chelsea fans to see Malo Gusto on the right wing.
He’s a player who has his uses – but often is playing what seems to be a different sport to the likes of Michael Olise and Desire Doue.
Manchester City have been linked with transfer interest in him in this window, and Fabrizio Romano has today provided an update on that situation.
Romano says Man City to look elsewhere if Chelsea hold firm over Gusto

Chelsea were telling teams they wanted £75m for Gusto, a quite insane figure. They wouldn’t get that even if Gusto were to play a key role in the rest of the World Cup
“Man City like Malo Gusto with Enzo Maresca appreciating him,” Romano wrote.
“But they are not planning to spend £75m as Chelsea value him at that price. If price doesn’t drop, City would explore different options.”
If Chelsea want to sell Gusto, they surely will just start asking for £50m instead? It wouldn’t be hard to get a deal done at that price.
