Michy Batshuayi’s spell at Valencia looks to be coming to an end, just four months after the Belgian made the switch to the Estadio Mestalla.
Batshuayi’s performances on-loan at Borussia Dortmund were a heavy suggestion that he was ready for life at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately, Chelsea were seemingly unprepared to give up on Alvaro Morata so soon, and Michy suffered as a result.
La Liga provided a new challenge for Batshuayi, who had proven his capability in front of goal in France, England and Germany already in his short career. It hasn’t all gone to plan for ‘The Batsman’.
He’s managed just one La Liga goal in 12 appearances, and hasn’t been successful in his efforts to break into Marcelino’s starting eleven.
Valencia now look set to pull the plug on his loan, at least that’s what reliable Belgian journalist Kristoff Terreur has suggested on Twitter.
A final decision hasn’t been made as yet, but Chelsea and Valencia are actively trying to find a solution for Michy Batshuayi, currently on loan in Spain. #cfc pic.twitter.com/Yx2BhONpuM

Reports on Spain have also corroborated such claims…

It’s unclear whether Batshuayi would be prepared to return to Chelsea, or Sarri would even be interested in having him, but it doesn’t look as though it will be at Valencia much longer.
With the January window set to open, there is a possibility he could be sold permanently in order to fund a move for a new striker. We highly doubt any top strikers will be available mid-season, though, so another loan move looks to be on the horizon.
