Christian Pulisic said his goodbyes to the Borussia Dortmund home faithful ahead of his side’s clash with Dusseldorf this afternoon – and he’s marked his farewell with a goal!
Ahead of kick-off, the American was honoured by the club and thanked for his efforts as he prepares to take the plunge into Premier League football as a Chelsea player.

There’s no better way to sign off than by finding the back of the net, which is exactly what Pulisic has done now for the third time in his last seven appearances.
Pulisic found himself in the right place at the right time in the penalty area and was able to head into the back of an empty net from close range. See the goal here.

If Pulisic continues to get into these kind of positions when he comes to Chelsea, he’ll score bags of goals for us. The likes of Willian and Pedro don’t often venture to central areas.
In Pulisic we’re signing a player like none we have within our ranks, and if Eden Hazard does choose to depart this summer, his arrival will soften the blow.
Nice for Christian Pulisic to say his goodbye to Borussia Dortmund fans goal
