Antonio Conte appeared to bid farewell to Chelsea football club after winning the FA Cup at Wembley.
Conte went into today’s game without ever having won a domestic trophy. Not only that, but he was going up against Jose Mourinho, a serial winner who has lifted everything that there is to win in England.
He did not appear phased, setting his Chelsea side up to limit Man United’s opportunities, and doing so effectively.
Conte’s future at Chelsea is in serious doubt, even after winning the FA Cup today. Speculation has been constant over the past weeks and months, and it feels as though it’s only a matter time until Conte’s recent shortfalls catch up with him.
Following the game, Conte spoke as though he was a man set to depart. The Italian revealed that he will forever hold affection for Chelsea after the time that he spent at Stamford Bridge:
Conte: “After this season I will always love this colour, this club, the fans.” He sounds like a man saying goodbye #cfc

Irrespective of our failures this season, Conte will always be remembered fondly for what we achieved during his debut campaign in SW6. Grazie, Antonio!
