Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea: player ratings and goal highlights

Chelsea defeated Arsenal 3-0 in the Bird’s Nest stadium in China to begin their pre-season tour of the far east with a bang.

The Premier League champions took the lead through Willian. The Brazilian, who enjoyed the best goal-scoring season of his career last time around, cut inside onto his right-foot and bent the ball beyond the helpless David Ospina.

Merely a minute later, Chelsea added a second. Michy Batshuayi, who has his work cut out to get minutes on the field next season following the arrival of Alvaro Morata, fired home from the edge of the penalty area with his left-foot.

Batshuayi doubled his tally early in the second half. After some good work from Marcos Alonso down the left-hand-side, he pulled the ball back to Batshuayi, who thumped home with his left-foot. What a finish.

That proved to be enough to take Chelsea over the line in what was a convincing victory. Arsenal already played three pre-season games prior to today, but we looked hungrier and sharper.
