Chelsea’s starting eleven to face Brighton at the Amex this afternoon has been confirmed, with Eden Hazard starting at false 9 once again.

Maurizio Sarri made the decision to field the Belgian through the middle against Manchester City last weekend. Our performance, particularly in the second half, was spectacular. He appears keen on his team picking up where they left off.

Dries Mertens was continually used as a false 9 during Sarri’s time at Napoli. He appears keen on replicating that success with his compatriot Hazard.

Mateo Kovacic, who was not thought to be fit enough to feature in this game, has travelled to Brighton and starts in midfield. Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek take their place among the substitutes once again.

Alvaro Morata is not even on the bench for the second Premier League game running. He did injure his knee midweek against MOL Vidi, so that could be the reason behind his absence, rather than Sarri’s displeasure with his performances.

Here’s how both teams lineup in full for the game. Let us know your thoughts @TalkChelsea, where you can also follow our coverage of the game. COME ON YOU BLUES!
