Chelsea 2-0 Brighton player ratings: Hazard gets a 9 as the Blues close in on Man United

Chelsea defeated Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day to pile the pressure onto second-place Manchester United.

Less than 60 seconds into the second-half, however, Chelsea took the lead. Cesar Azpilicueta assisted compatriot Alvaro Morata for the sixth time in the Premier League this season, and Morata added to his tally with a smart header. If you missed the goal, you can see it here.

Chelsea were not going to rest on their laurels, however, and swiftly added a second. It was an all Spanish combination once again as Cesc Fabregas’ whipped corner was headed home by Marcos Alonso to double our advantage. Click here to see that one.
