It’s not quite the transfer news Chelsea fans were hoping for but the Blues have been tracking Paris Saint-Germain defender Abdourahmane Barry, Sky Sports reports.
The Frenchman has appeared in the French giants’ U19 team and his performances have attracted interest from a host of European clubs including Wolfsburg.
As per Sky Sports, Chelsea are hoping to snatch another bargain in this window as Barry has roughly four months left on his PSG contract.
Whether Barry gets loaned out or stays with us for the rest of the season, this move makes sense from a financial perspective.
Who is Abdourahmane Barry?

The 17-year-old hasn’t managed to force his way into the first team fold at the Parisens.
However, Barry has been involved in the club’s UEFA Youth League competition, a tournament our youngsters have won twice.
Barry has shown his versatility as he’s able to play at centre-back, right-back or defensive midfield. Something that players like Cesar Azpilicueta would be impressed with.
