Chelsea fans are some of the most committed in the world, this is not news, but Twitter user @TekkaBooSon has taken that to new levels.
The Premier League champions face Azerbaijani minnows Qarabag this evening in their first Champions League fixture for over a year. You’d be mad to miss it, and it’s for that reason that TekkaBooSon found himself in this predicament.
He revealed on Twitter that he had arranged a date for this evening and would miss the big game – schoolboy error! However, determined to not miss his beloved Blues, he left his fate in the hands of his Twitter following.
As you may expect, his followers voted overwhelmingly in favour of cancelling the date. Now we awaited an answer from the man himself and we got it – he was to oblige.
