Chelsea fans’ frustration with Alvaro Morata boiled over during the first-half of our clash with Southampton this evening.
Morata, previously our club-record acquisition, has lost his place in the Chelsea starting eleven under Maurizio Sarri. Many would argue that his omission is more than justified.
Not only has Eden Hazard been excelling in the false-nine role in recent matches, but Olivier Giroud also appears to have leapfrogged Morata in the pecking order.
Sarri began the season by showing some degree of faith in Morata, but that appears to have faded the more that he has seen him in action. We don’t blame you, Maurizio.
Morata starts night, more through necessity than anything else, and he certainly isn’t making the most of his opportunity.
The Spaniard has struggled to impress once again out on the Stamford Bridge turf tonight, and Chelsea fans are not happy with his performance. Have a look at this.

Hazard must absolutely hate playing with Morata, every time he tries to link up with him he just ruins the move immediately, he’s so slow to react and always gives the ball away, weak as fuck and has zero confidence. Useless.
