Chelsea fans have been full of praise for Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the first-half of the Blues’ Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Bournemouth.
Loftus-Cheek’s future at Chelsea looked precarious upon his return to Cobham in the summer. He reported to training earlier than anticipated in hope of proving his worth to Maurizio Sarri, yet still found himself down the pecking order.
Though he found opportunities hard to come by, he didn’t complain, he didn’t speculate about his future at Chelsea, he got his head down and worked hard to impress Sarri. He has done now, and he’s beginning to reap the rewards.
Loftus-Cheek has played more minutes in a Chelsea shirt over the past two months than he ever has in his career to date. He’s living the dream of playing for his boyhood club, and we have a club-bred Englishman starring on the field.
Chelsea fans love to see it, and they’re plastering their delight all over our Twitter timeline. We’ve collated some of the best Ruben-loving tweets to share with you.
