Chelsea fans have reacted furiously to the Blues’ first-half performance against Southampton at St. Mary’s.
Nobody will be surprised that the Premier League champions are trailing at half-time. In recent weeks, our performances have been every bit as bad as the dismal 2015/16 campaign.
We have surrendered any hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. On this evidence, we have our work cut-out against the Saints in the FA Cup semi-final.
It’s hard to see any way back for Antonio Conte from here. The players have given-up, he is no longer able to motivate his players to go out there and fight for the team.
That is the point of no return for a manager.
Chelsea fans are utterly furious, and who could blame them? They’ve had enough of these toothless and lacklustre displays, and have made no secret of their anger.
Here’s how some took to Twitter to share their emotions after what was an absolutely abysmal first-half display.
Disgrace absolutely disgusting who is markin who nonsense

I say this during literally every match, but half of this squad needs to be sold in the summer and the next manager needs to bring a completely different tactical system with him. Or at least a Plan B when things don’t go right.

Get the players to actually play and we’ll think about it pic.twitter.com/blgVnWfKmf

Genuinely loved our 15/16 team ten times more than our current spineless, gutless team

Azpilicueta has low-key had too many suspect games this season.

At least we’re avoiding the Mourinho season and not finishing 10th I guess 🤷🏽♂️

Why on Earth would Real Madrid have the remotest interest in Eden Hazard if he’s so prone to falling off the boil?

Long balls up to Hazard, Morata or Willian. No other players near to win the second ball atleast. One player inside the box everytime crosses comes. This is the managers fault. The players are following orders.
