‘MY SEASON IS PROBABLY OVER’ – Michy Batshuayi confirms heartbreaking injury on Twitter

It is sad news to bring on the loan watch front as Michy Batshuayi confirmed that his season is ‘probably over’ in a tweet on Monday.

The Belgian had started life for Borussia Dortmund emphatically after departing from Chelsea till the end of the season in January.

Batshuayi scored nine goals in all competitions for Dortmund but in the 2-0 loss to Schalke on Sunday, there was even more bad news for the centre-forward as he was stretchered off in at the latter stages of the clash, suffering from a broken leg.

There may still be a slim chance of the 24-year-old being available to be part of Belgium’s squad for the World Cup starting in June.

For now, Batshuayi will likely be heading back to Chelsea’s training facility in Cobham starting the rehabilitation process. Hopefully, the centre-forward can at least be ready to fight to earn a place in the Blues’ squad next season.
