There is plenty of blame to go round after Chelsea conceded yet more soft goals and went a third game without a win on Friday night.
Lots of players have been criticised, and on the London is Blue podcast, presetner Nick Verlaney set his sights on winger Pedro Neto.
Neto has been playing as a right wing back, but as a left footer that means he’s less able to pass down the line or go on the outside of a defender. Verlaney is tired of the limitations of that.
Pedro Neto keeps making same mistakes
“I almost think he needs to play as a left wing back moving forward, because if I have to see him shift the ball from his right foot, where he clearly doesn’t want to pass it, I’m going to lose it,” the presentersaid.
“Every defender in the league knows he’s not gonna use his right foot. He’s going to try and cut it back, do the little dance thing to try and create space for himself. He’s going to try and take four shots from outside the box.
“Not only that, he was terrible defensively in this game. He was caught not tracking back a couple of times, which I thought we were over, from an attitude perspective.”
