Chelsea fans have been delivered positive news concerning the condition of Eden Hazard, amid reports that he had been injured on international duty with Belgium.
The Metro reported that Hazard missed training with the Red Devils on Wednesday, with the Belgium football association providing no reason behind Hazard’s absence.
Naturally, we Chelsea fans feared that the curse of the international break had struck once again. We allow a perfectly fit player to represent their country, only for them to return damaged.
Reliable Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur has moved to dampen any fears about Hazard’s wellbeing, reporting that the 27-year-old was expected to return to training today.

Hazard has been superb in the opening period of the season. He has netted twice and provided two assists, despite his only starts coming in our past two fixtures against Newcastle and Bournemouth.

The prospect of losing him to injury early in the season is one that we wish not to entertain. That’s especially after he missed the start of last season having suffered what the Telegraph reported to be a fractured ankle… while on international duty.
Roberto Martinez ought to tell his players to go easy on Hazard in training. If he gets seriously injured, it would be a huge blow to Chelsea’s ambitions this term.
