Chelsea star set to leapfrog Man United’s Paul Pogba as PL’s highest earner by penning £300K-a-week extension

Chelsea are set to make Eden Hazard the highest paid player in the Premier League when the Belgian finally puts pen to paper on his contract extension, according to the Express.

There can be no more denying it, Hazard is right up there in the top bracket behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, alongside the likes of Neymar. It looks as though he will soon be handed a contract by the Premier League champions that will reflect both his quality and his importance to Antonio Conte’s men.

As per the Express, Hazard could sign a contract extension with Chelsea upon his return from international duty, as there are now just a few minor details that need to be ironed out.

The tabloid claim that Hazard will earn £300K-a-week after signing his new deal, leap frogging the league’s current highest earner Paul Pogba, who reportedly banks £290K-a-week.

Tying down Hazard to a new deal, regardless of the financial implications for him, would be a real coup.
