- Eden Hazard expected to return for Chelsea at the weekend.
- Hazard has missed our previous two fixtures through injury.
- Tomorrow’s Derby clash has come too soon for the Belgian.
Eden Hazard has been forced to sit-out Chelsea past two fixtures, but it looks as though the Belgian will be available to face Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Hazard damaged his back during our 2-2 draw with Manchester United. It was a tough contest with Jose Mourinho’s men, as it often is, and Hazard was left feeling the full effects of the tough treatment he was handed.
The 27-year-old was subsequently not part of the matchday squads which took on BATE and Burnley. Chelsea won both games convincingly without their star man, but it’s just not the same watching the Blues play without him on the pitch.
Thankfully, Chelsea fans, you won’t have to wait much longer to see Hazard in action. Injury expert @BenDinnery was on the ball during Chelsea’s press conference ahead of our clash with Derby, and though Hazard won’t be ready for tomorrow’s game, he’s expected to return at the weekend.
Eden Hazard is expected to be fit for the PL clash vs Palace. “He’s certainly much better. Maybe tomorrow he’s going to join us in training. I don’t think he’s going to be involved in the [Carabao Cup]. But he is looking quite good for the weekend, so we are quite pleased.” #CFC

The competition we are facing in the Premier League title race is tougher than it has ever been. We cannot afford many slip-ups if we want to have any chance of being triumphant. Having Hazard in the team will be a huge contributor towards avoiding them.
