Mino Raiola fuels speculation Everton talisman could leave this summer

Mino Raiola has fuelled speculation that his client Romelu Lukaku will be leaving Everton this summer, report talkSPORT.

Lukaku was one of the stars of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign, finding the back of the net 25 times. It saw him finish as runner-up in the race to win the Golden Boot, which has seen his stock rise considerably.

It remains to be seen whether he will still be a Chelsea player come the start of next term, but Raiola has suggested that Lukaku could well be on the move this summer.

talkSPORT quote Raiola, who reveals that Everton gave him their word that he would be allowed to leave in the summer transfer window if certain clubs came knocking:

“Lukaku had a promise that if certain clubs came this summer that he could leave this summer, We are not in concrete talks with anybody at this moment, but hearing the market I think some clubs will contact Everton.”

It remains to be seen whether one of those clubs is Chelsea, but we can hope. Lukaku is one of the best players in the division, and one of the most prolific strikers in the world. If we are serious about reaffirming our position as a European superpower, he is the sort of player we should be targeting.
