Recent signing brands Chelsea as ‘the perfect club’ after frustrations at previous team

Oliver Giroud believes Chelsea is ‘the perfect club’ after leaving Arsenal in an £18m January transfer deadline day deal, The Daily Mail reports.

The Frenchman cited lack of match action as his reason to depart from the Gunners and Chelsea offered him a way out.

When speaking after his full Blues’ debut in the 3-0 win against West Brom, Giroud cited lack of match action as his reason to depart from the Gunners, as The Daily Mail reports.

“It’s been a while since I played regularly and that’s why I needed to move.”

The striker was on hand to assist Eden Hazard in breaking the deadlock against the Baggies.

Despite suffering a head injury in the first half, Giroud continued on till the hour mark when he was replaced by Alvaro Morata.
