David Luiz has revealed to his Brazilian teammate Phillipe Coutinho that he wants to join Barcelona.
It’s been a frustrating season for the centre-back who has failed to get back into Antonio Conte’s regular plans since being dropped from the Italian’s regular line-up in October.
According to Don Balon, ex-Liverpool player Coutinho has told the rest of the Barcelona camp that Luiz is eager to join the La Liga leaders.
Barcelona has long been admirers of the 30-year-old with recent interest coming about in January, according to the Spanish newspaper.

Don Balon also understands that Barca defender Samuel Umtiti has given his club a deadline to solve his future with Manchester United emerging as contenders for the Frenchman’s signature.
It would be unfortunate to see Luiz depart the club soon into his second spell with us. However, it may be the right time to cash in on the charismatic defender.
