Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of the Community Shield clash with Arsenal.
Goal journalist Julien Quelen sent out the below tweet on Sunday afternoon, suggesting that new signing Timoue Bakayoko is recovering quicker than expected, and could be available for the game at Wembley.
Tiemoué #Bakayoko devrait être sur pied + vite que prévu et pourrait même être dispo pour le Community Shield le 6/08 @ChelseaFC

The Premier League champions comfortably defeated Arsenal 3-0 during their pre-season tour of the far east. If Bakayoko was available for selection on Sunday, you would have to fancy our chances.
The Community Shield is a major trophy if you win it, and ‘just a friendly’ if you don’t. One thing’s for certain, it helps to build momentum ahead of the new season, and no game between Chelsea and Arsenal could ever be considered a friendly.
Bakayoko was not part of Chelsea’s tour, he stayed behind along with Eden Hazard. Whether or not he will be match-fit so soon remains to be seen, but if Quelen is correct, we should see the Frenchman make his Chelsea debut very soon.
That’s good news, can’t wait to see Him play.
Can’t wait to see a fully fit TB AND Kante paired together in front of our back line.
Comment:with conte we will reach great
Baka is not fully fit n I don’t see him taking part in the community shield cup
