Despite his ongoing feud with manager Antonio Conte, Willian is thought to be ‘desperate’ to remain with the Blues beyond this season.
The Brazilian was voted Players’ player of the year by his teammates for the 2017/18 campaign, despite periods of inefficiency and shortfall. Willian enjoyed a superb run of form after the turn of the year, but that did not stop Conte rotating him out of the side.
Conte often, for tactical reasons, opted to switch between a 3-4-3 system and 3-5-2. Willian fitted like a glove into the former, but there was no room for him in the starting eleven when Conte fielded two through the middle.
Willian fired an extremely blatant dig at Conte on his Instagram page. He posted a photo of Chelsea’s FA Cup celebrations, but covered his manager with trophy emojis. Take a look for yourself.

Despite this, The Sun report that Willian is in fact ‘desperate’ to stay at Chelsea. He recognises that his relationship with the manager is beyond repair, but Conte’s own future in West London is in serious doubt.
It doesn’t look as though there is any way back from here. One of them, or even both, will depart this summer. It’s a shame that Conte’s likely departure will be marred by further disgruntlement among his ranks.
Conte should go, am tired of his tactics, he can on used 3.5.2 or 3.4.3, why can’t him play a 4.2.3.1, formation that can suit the play? What’s Luis offen that he kept him out of the team and he start saying the lad is injured?
