At the time of writing, Chelsea are still trying to conclude a deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. It’s been the saga from hell that all fans just want to end now, but Chelsea fans need it to end positively.
Because as well as this, Jorginho looks set to join Arsenal right now and this happening will leave Chelsea too short in midfield for me, so they simply have to get an Enzo, or someone else in today. Time is running out fast though, with the deadline approaching.
Chelsea have options of course if Enzo doesn’t arrive. Charlie Webster has just signed a new contract and he is a class player. Andrey Santos as well is looking to be a huge prospect.
Quality players but inexperienced. We play Friday evening and if Jorginho goes as things stand, we’ll have no suitable fit sixes to play. We need to go all out to win every single game right now and I can never get behind not replacing Jorginho.
There’s time left on deadline day to get Enzo done and I still have some faith and hope that it will. But let’s see how that plays out.
The bottom line is that Chelsea allowing Jorginho to go without Enzo being fully done, is a huge risk and I hope it’s not one we live to regret.
