If you found yourself browsing the socials this morning, all you would have seen was our former boss Antonio Conte’s face as you scrolled your time line.
Of course, it was/is major news. Tottenham sacked yet another manager, and instantly it appears that Conte is close to taking charge, even after rejecting them in the summer due to being unsure on the project. That alone is quite humorous.
But then came the inevitable arguments and debates amongst Chelsea fans over whether Conte was a good manager, whether he is a Chelsea man, whether he should be taking the Spurs job being our direct rivals, and whether he is a better manager than Maurizio Sarri. I know right!?
You know what? I don’t care. I don’t care who is going to be the next Spurs manager, the next Newcastle manager, or the next Manchester United manager for that matter if they do sack Ole.
Because we have super Tommy Tuchel (as we chanted at Newcastle on Saturday). We have the current best manager in the world in my eyes, and every team would love to have him.

There is a reason that when this whole Conte noise was going on on Twitter today that it was Tuchel’s name that was trending in sport. Because he was coming up in the debates.
We have to concentrate and focus on us and what we are doing. We know we can beat any team put in front of us, and we know we have a world class manager who has just won us the Champions League. That’s all I’m thinking about right now, Spurs can appoint whoever they like, and they’ve done it before with Jose Mourinho (that went well!). It’s irrelevant to me.
What is relevant is our game against Malmo in the Champions League tomorrow night, and the rest of our season as we challenge for the Premier League title. And just read these words below from Tuchel and tell me you’re still worried about Conte getting the Spurs job…
We’re in perfectly safe hands…
