As you may well have read by now this morning, Frank Lampard is being considered by the English FA as the next manager of the England under-21 national side, according to The Daily Mail.
The Blues legend has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea as head coach back in January.

The thinking was that he wanted to take his time before deciding on his next move and have a break. Well, will six months be enough time, Frank?
Us fans want to see you back out there on the side lines doing what you love the most, and personally I think this job is the perfect next move for him.
Chelsea may have come too soon for Lampard, as much as it pains me to say it. But I do believe there is a very good coach in there waiting to come out – it just comes with experience, and what better job to go into to get that experience?
Gareth Southgate did exactly the same thing when his managerial jobs in domestic football came too soon, now he is managing the senior England team. Lampard has eventual ambitions to do the same, so this would be a great path to get there.
Working with younger players and developing them alongside Jody Morris at Derby County, and then at Chelsea, is certainly something Lampard can put on his CV as one of his big success stories. I think Morris would/should go with Lampard onto the next venture as well, especially if it is the England under-21s.
It would be out of the spotlight, relatively pressure-free, and a great job for Lampard to ease back in after the stresses of managing Chelsea.
This England under-21 team have immense talent and should be doing so much better than they are, but they just need a coach who knows the players and knows how to get the best out of them and how to set them up – I believe Lampard could be fully successful at doing that there.
Lampard needs a job to allow him to build his own confidence again, and allows him to build his own style of football and work on his tactical game – this is an ideal opportunity where he can do that out of the public eye.
Do it Frank!
