Robert Sanchez has been explaining the reasons behind his up tick in form and general improvements.
We have all seen it, and I hope that we have all acknowledged it. Sanchez has been much better from the end of last season into this season, and it’s important that we offer praise, as it’s been fully deserved.
I did see more ‘old Sanchez’ again in our 3-1 defeat against Leeds United last week, but then he turned up against Bournemouth, got the man of the match award, and basically stopped us from actually losing that game with some fine saves.
But overall, Sanchez has been so much better and is gaining more and more trust from the fan base. I don’t think many of us are fully convinced and probably never will be (I know I’m not), but he has been SO much better, and I applaud that.
Sanchez has acknowledged that he has improved as well.
On his improvement in form, he said over the weekend:
“I’m trying to stay consistent, trying not to chase stuff and let things come to me. Play simple off the ball. I think I always do what I had to do, I deal with the balls, make the save. So, yeah, just trying to stay consistent, stay calm and and positive.”
Good to know, keep it up chap!
