Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has won three major honours in less than a year at Chelsea football club since starting it all off with the Champions League trophy at the end of last season.
His management skills are second to none and non-debatable, but for me, it is even more than just that that makes him a standout guy to be in charge at Chelsea football club for many more years and for the long-term.
If Chelsea are ever going to drop their hiring and firing culture, it needs to be with Thomas Tuchel right now, because this man is a real gem and we are very lucky to have him leading our team and being the focal point to our football club.
As I said above, it isn’t just for his management skills and tactical intelligence, it is also for how he carries himself, the passion he works with, his love of this club, his understanding of the club, and his clever ways that he deals with ALL situations right now and diffuses them. He feels like one of us and it feels like all he does is for the good of us fans, the club, and the players. He has that real protective feel about him and that is what makes him a superb leader of men.
Just look at how he shuts down the media today when he got fed up of them asking him repeated questions about the war. This didn’t mean he doesn’t care; this means his emotions bubbled up and he was stomping down his authority on the press after having already answered similar questions on the subject and rightfully pointing out the fact that he is not in a position to speak on it.
It was a show of control from Tuchel, and something that fans have responded to on social media with real positivity. We all felt those words and were saying them ourselves, and this is just another fine example of why Tuchel must continue into the future leading this club as the manager. What a man.
