Chelsea have been handed major encouragement in their pursuit of Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
The Blues were linked with Belotti over the summer transfer window, but the move never materialised. The Italy international has a €100M release clause in his contract at Torino, which may seem pricy, but in the modern transfer market he’d be worth every penny.
The Premier League champions recruited Alvaro Morata in the summer, so it may appear as though there is no dire need for offensive reinforcements at Stamford Bridge. However, the opportunity to recruit a player like Belotti should not be passed up.
According to Tuttosport (via teamtalk), Belotti has put the brakes on contract talks in Torino and has no interest in signing a contract extension with the Serie A outfit.
Tuttosport report that Chelsea and AC Milan are both keeping tabs on the situation. This is one to keep an eye on as we approach January.
