Chelsea target Clément Lenglet has reportedly set a deadline on his final decision over his future at Sevilla.
A few days ago, we reported the news that Chelsea had been linked with a summer move to sign the Frenchman. Lenglet is thought to be valued in the region of €35M, with both Manchester United and Barcelona also interested in signing him.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reiterate Barcelona’s interest, adding that the Catalan giants are keen to complete a deal to sign him by the start of next month. You may think that their confidence leaves Chelsea set to miss out – but it ain’t over ’til it’s over.
Mundo Deportivo’s report claims that Lenglet has asked Sevilla to give him until the end of June to make a decision on his future. That gives Chelsea just under three weeks to convince him that Stamford Bridge is the most suitable destination for him.
The club’s board ought to get to work immediately if our interest in signing him is as genuine as it sounds.
