Alfredo Pedulla, or ‘Don Alfredo’ as he has been referred to by Chelsea fans this summer, has provided an update on our pursuit of Daniele Rugani.
Rugani has been linked with a move to the Bridge in recent weeks. He previously worked alongside Maurizio Sarri during his time at Empoli
The Italian is highly-rated in Turin, but has been unable to nail down a starting spot. He has been provided with chances to do so, but hasn’t taken them.
Despite that, Sarri appears willing to take a chance on him. Juventus have no reason to sell, so will demand a hefty fee in exchange for the 23-year-old.
According to Pedulla, any potential deal could be worth as much as £45M. That’s £10M more than initial reports were suggesting.
Don Pedulla claims that meetings will be held today (Tuesday) and Wednesday to try and get the deal over the line.
This has the look of one that could either develop this week, or collapse in it’s entirety.
