There is thought to be ‘no truth’ in rumours that Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Sky Italia reported last week that Barca were chasing Kante. It was claimed that they were considering offering Andre Gomes as part of the deal – not that we’d want him.
Kante is one of the best in the world, anyone would be lucky to have him. He doesn’t exactly have Barca DNA though, does he? They said the same about Ivan Rakitic, but he’s a far superior passer than our Kante.
If Ernesto Valverde is planning a drastic style change this summer, then targeting Kante would make sense. At the time of writing, though, it doesn’t.
Matt Law has claimed on Twitter that, after enquiring as to the accuracy of the information, he was told that it’s a load of rubbish.
Kante’s going nowhere this summer – definitely not to the Nou Camp.
