Eden Hazard provides positive update on his Chelsea future

Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has confirmed that he will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window, report the BBC.

This comes after Spanish radio station Cadena Ser claimed that Real Madrid were planning to make their move for Hazard when the window re-opens in the winter.

Hazard has arguably been the best player in Europe so far this season, while Real Madrid are struggling following the departure of talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.

Los Blancos’ attack is crying out for a player like Hazard to arrive and reinvigorate the team, but the Belgian has ruled out the move happening mid-season.

As reported by the BBC, Hazard was speaking to the press ahead of Belgium’s Nations League clash with Switzerland, which takes place at 7:45pm this evening.

Though he once again flirted with the idea of moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, Hazard assured Chelsea fans that he will not be leaving the club in January.

Though it’s incredibly unlikely that Chelsea would have allowed him to leave even if he wanted to do so, this reaffirmation of his commitment to the cause is reassuring.
