Juventus will offer Alex Sandro a new contract to fend off interest from Chelsea, according to Calciomercato.
Sandro is widely considered one of the best full-backs on the planet. Only Real Madrid’s Marcelo can be ranked above Sandro in terms of left-backs.
Calciomercato believe that Sandro’s electric form in recent years has placed him on the radar of Premier League champions Chelsea. Antonio Conte has just Marcos Alonso at his disposal at left-wing-back, so it makes sense that he could be in the market for another.
However, it doesn’t look as though Juventus have any intention of parting with Sandro any time soon. Calciomercato claim quite the opposite, and they will instead offer him a contract extension with improved terms.
As per Calciomercato, English reports have suggested that Chelsea will try again for Sandro in the January transfer window, so Juventus may want to tie him down to a new contract sooner rather than later.
