Don’t go to sleep just yet, Chelsea fans.
GFFN are reporting that the reliable RMC Sport have claimed that Chelsea have not given up hope of landing Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
In a matter of hours we went from agreeing a fee to sign him, to not being interested at all. Mahrez was released from the Algerian training camp in order to complete a transfer, he reportedly stayed in a hotel in London overnight – it was an absolute mess, and to be honest, it still is.
It is yet unclear whether there is time to get a deal over the line before the end of the transfer window, but RMC Sport report that Chelsea are still monitoring the situation. Lets hope.
