Everton and Liverpool are considered the favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.
The possibility of Loftus-Cheek leaving Stamford Bridge is something that no Chelsea fan wishes to entertain. However, if we are not prepared to satisfy his desires, it will fast become a reality.
Loftus-Cheek has revealed his craving for regular first-team football, insisting that wherever he may be next term, he needs to be playing.
Chelsea cannot promise him a starting role. Both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have previously kept him behind as part of their first-team squads, but he was used only sporadically.
That has seen Loftus-Cheek shifted towards the exit door. According to the Express, the Premier League’s two Merseyside clubs, Liverpool and Everton, are leading the race to sign the 22-year-old.
We dearly hope that Maurizio Sarri, or whoever will be managing us next season, rates Loftus-Cheek. He has the potential to go to the very top.
