You’re probably sick of discussing this by now, we are, yet the topic is continually forced upon us and it’s impossible to ignore.
Have Chelsea made a major blunder by selling Nemanja Matic to Manchester United?
The Serb was instrumental in two title triumphs during his time at Stamford Bridge, and has scarcely put a foot wrong during Man United’s first five games of the season (all of which they have won).
Matic went on a mazy run during United’s latest victory over Everton, the sort of run that we rarely, if ever, saw him embark on in a Chelsea shirt.
Twitter user @ManUnitedZone_ managed to capture the footage and the commentary from Martin Tyler and United legend Gary Neville. The latter was clearly watching the game through his red-tinted glasses as he joked that Antonio Conte turned his tele off after seeing Matic’s skill.

Well, Gary, I think you might be wrong there. We may have lost Matic, but we’ve gained a Tiemoue Bakayoko. Anything Matic can do, Bakayoko can do better…
@MrChelseaBoss was on hand to provide footage of a similar surging run from Bakayoko during Chelsea’s stalemate with Arsenal. The one, key, difference – he didn’t give the ball away at the end of it!
