Paul Merson is not renown for having vast football knowledge, but he’s been dropping truth bombs about Eden Hazard on Sky Sports News.
Hazard is widely considered one of the best players on the planet, and former Arsenal man Merson has been echoing that view. He also added that Hazard is NOT comparable to Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, suggesting that he is simply on another level to the Brazilian.

The one worrying thing from a Chelsea fan’s perspective is that Merson believes that Barcelona and/or Real Madrid could have chased Hazard in the summer had he not been injured.
That’s always been the worry. He’s an undeniably world-class player and we’re lucky to have him, but the more he’s showcasing his talent the, more he is putting himself in the shop window for any potential suitors to admire.
