Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has received plenty of adulation for a superb performance for Nigeria against Iceland at the World Cup.
Omeruo has been on Chelsea’s books for six-years now, but he has never made an appearance for The Blues.
The Nigerian has been shipped out on-loan here, there and everywhere. From the Netherlands, to Turkey, to Middlesbrough.
The most recent leg of his European tour was with Turkish side Kasimpasa S.K, where he made 28 appearances and earned himself a spot on the Nigeria plan heading to the World Cup.
He justified his inclusion in The Super Eagles’ squad against Iceland on Friday evening with an imperious display at the back.
Omeruo sent a message to his parent club with the performance. He proved his worth, his quality and his ability to perform on the highest-level – and football fans were impressed.
