No wonder Belgium have been so deadly on the counter at the World Cup with Eden Hazard in their team.
We all know how good Hazard is in possession. Whether it be carrying the ball or picking out a pass, he is one of the best in the world with the ball at his feet.
Oftentimes, players of Hazard’s quality struggle to replicate their performances at major international tournaments. He has distanced himself from that mortal group with his excellent performances for Belgium over the past few weeks.
The Red Devils may well go all the way in Russia, and Hazard will have played a starring role in their success if they do. As shown in the below graph, he has been influential in starting attacks for his country.

No player comes close to Hazard. He really is in a league of his own. As an English site, we’re very much hoping that football’s coming home. If it doesn’t though, we’d love to see our Eden get his hands on the trophy.
