Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte will not be leaving Chelsea anytime soon.

Antonio Conte has sent out a stern message to Chelsea centre-back David Luiz following our 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Luiz was omitted from the match-day squad for the clash against the Red Devils, which will have come as a huge surprise to the entire Chelsea faithful. The Brazilian was a cornerstone in Conte’s side that lifted the Premier League title last term, but his stock appears to have fallen considerably at Stamford Bridge.

Andreas Christensen plugged the hole in the middle of the defence on Sunday and scarcely put a foot wrong throughout the 90 minutes. It remains to be seen whether Conte will place his faith in the Dane long-term, but he has all-but confirmed that his faith in Luiz is a thing of the past.

Conte is quoted by the Guardian revealing in his post-match press conference that Luiz has a lot of work to do if he wants to have a future in SW6:

“I don’t know. He has to work really hard, otherwise they are on the bench or in the stand.”
