Here we go again.

According to The Sun, Carlo Ancelotti is waiting in the wings to replace Antonio Conte, should his compatriot depart Stamford Bridge before the end of his contract.

Ancelotti was sacked by Bayern Munich earlier this year, but his managerial C.V speaks for itself, he would be a brilliant appointment for any club. From a Chelsea fan’s perspective, we hope that Conte stays put, he is among the best managers in the world, but if he does depart, there would be few better options available to replace him than Ancelotti.

That appears to be the thought process of Roman Abramovich. The Sun report that Chelsea do not expect Conte to stay in SW6 for the full length of his contract, and thus have lined up former Blues boss Ancelotti as his potential successor.

It is mentioned in the report that Ancelotti has remained in touch with the Chelsea hierarchy, and would be interested in a return to the Premier League. Let’s see what happens.

This ‘The Sun’ never write anything good about Chelsea FC. A man sack by Bayern Munich!, How do you think he will be the best for my darling Team Chelsea FC! You better pack well if you’ve got nothing serious to write.
