Chelsea’s hopes of signing Alex Sandro becomes less likely as time goes on as Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their pusuit of the Brazilian, calciomercato.com reports.
Juventus are still demanding a hefty fee of over €50m for them to part ways with the talented left-back, the Italian website reports.
Due to Chelsea bolstering in this position after the signing of Emerson Palmieri, the club have effectively cooled their interest in Sandro for the time being.
Unless something in the extreme were to happen in the summer transfer window like Marcos Alonso being sold, the Blues would have next to no eagerness to sign Sandro yet alone any left-wing-back on the market.
Will Chelsea regret not making a move for Sandro?
There’s no doubt of the quality the 27-year-old possesses. This was even on display in his last game, scoring once and grabbing an assist in the 7-0 thumping of Sassuolo.
However, we still can’t judge Palmieri having not featured yet for his new club but the team desperately needs him available as soon as possible.
