Chelsea winger Willian has won the club’s goal of the season award for a sensational strike against Brighton earlier in the campaign.
We need Brighton to do us a favour on the final day, as they pay a visit to Anfield to face fourth place Liverpool. Without the three points we gained against them away from home, we would not be within a chance of securing Champions League qualification – so thanks for that, lads.
You can’t say that this goal doesn’t deserve to win an award. Michy Batshuayi, Eden Hazard and Willian linked up beautifully before the Brazilian fired into the back of the net. It really was champagne football.
If you need a reminder of just how good of a goal it was, you can see footage of it below.
Let’s remind you of that beautiful goal in January…

There were many honourable mentions in a season where we have scored some superb goals, if not a lot else. What was your favourite goal of the 2017/18 campaign, Blues? Did this deserve to be crowned winner?
You can see how Willian reacted to winning the award below.
‘Too much quality!’ 😉
