Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has confirmed that he will leave the club next month following the expiration of his contract.
Wilshere has been at Arsenal for 17-years, making his debut for the club a decade ago. He was once considered England’s brightest talent, as well as one of the most promising midfielders on the planet.
However, his development has been stunted by injuries. Wilshere is now 26-years-old and wasn’t included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Russia.
The departure of Arsene Wenger, who had so much faith in Wilshere, looked to be the final nail in his coffin at the Emirates. It appears as though that was very much the case.

As Sky Sports reported at the time, Chelsea legend Dennis Wise urged the Blues to make a move to sign Wilshere this summer.
Now that he will be available on a free, it may be too good an opportunity for the club to pass-up. Let’s wait and see.
