Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea winger Willian, according to France Football.
France Football claim that Willian is on the Catalan giant’s shortlist as they look to replace Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the transfer window. Not that the calibre of the two Brazilians are comparable.
As per France Football, Barcelona have opened talks with Chelsea over the possibility of taking Willian to the Camp Nou this summer. It is reported that he partially opened the door to a move to Manchester United earlier in the transfer window, so Barcelona will likely be offered encouragement by that.
The French outlet believe that Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Angel Di Maria are all also targets for Barcelona as they actively look to fill the gaping void that has been left by Neymar’s departure.
It’s difficult to imagine that Willian is anything other than a plan-D, as all of the aforementioned, at the time of writing, are streets ahead of the 2015/16 Chelsea player of the year.
