Chelsea have reportedly lined-up Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani as a potential replacement for Alvaro Morata this summer.
That’s according to TMW, who believe that both Juventus and AC Milan are interested in signing Morata this summer. Should the Spaniard depart Stamford Bridge, the Blues will find themselves in need of a new centre-forward.
TMW believe that man could be Cavani, who could be on his way out of the Parc des Princes this summer. Chelsea are thought to be alongside Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United in the race to sign the Uruguayan.
We hate to break it to you, but it’s not going to happen. Cavani is 31-years-old, meaning that club policy would force us to only offer him a one-year contract. We’re not going to sign one of the best strikers on the planet, for a presumably high-fee, and allow the possibility of him leaving after just one season.
Silly season is well and truly underway…
